CHANGES TO SIMPLIFY

 CHANGES TO SIMPLIFY

There are many life hacks that can help us to feel better if we are willing to make a few changes. Some are most definitely in our mindsets. Whether we think that we can or can't - YOU ARE RIGHT! If you already think that you can't, then your mind is set and you aren't going to try. If you think that you can, then you are in the right frame of an optimistic mind, and therefore you are set to try harder. Simply telling yourself that you can do that. Setting up some simple plans may help.

  • If you want to get 8 hours of sleep then spend 9 hours in bed. It usually takes 15-20 minutes to fall asleep.
  • When you do get up, it is a good thing to have your morning cup of coffee or tea outside to get your UV. We all need some of those rays. In order to sleep better, the rule of thumb is 5 minutes on a sunny day, 10 minutes on a cloudy day, and 20 minutes by a window if it is a rainy day.
  • Another way to get UV rays is to start your day with a walk first thing in the morning. This helps to reset our minds and focus. Walking lifts our moods, and it clears our minds. "Walk it off!" ~  An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day. ~

  • A new world will open up when we stop talking and listen more. We learn more. We aren't growing if we are talking. It helps to remember that not everything or everyone needs our opinion.

  • Put things back where they belong. Clutter can build up fast. A little pile can grow to a volcano. Things are where you know they are and not in a pile of MESS.

  •  This is an important one for me and I am betting for lots of others also. Try waiting a week before you buy something impulsively. Imagine during that week if it is truly something that you need. Do you have the money to buy it? Especially if it is over $50. Rise above it all.
  • Holding eye contact with others is so very important. Shakespeare's quote about the eye being windows to the soul. Check out the color of the other person's eyes and make a comment. It is thoughtful and shows that you are truly interested. It also demonstrates that you are listening.

  • Don't forget to SMILE. Research says that smiling can actually make us happy. A resting face can make us appear sad or mad. So put on a happy face!

Here's to having a great start to making changes to help simplify your November.
